What’s missing in the scene from The Shawshank Redemption depicting inmate in the rain just after his escape?

Well, if you read the book, or pay close attention to the movie, the warden's Bible was one of the things that Andy took with him when he escaped. Remember he put his own bible, in which he had stored the rock-hammer, in the warden's safe? Naturally, he didn't have the bible in his hands at that moment because he had just crawled out of a sewer pipe and everything he had with him was sealed in a plastic bag to keep it safe from the rain.
