While driving all the Instruments on dash don't work then work, then car dies while driving?

while I was driving my 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue all the instruments on the dash started to up and down. From 70 mph to 0, from full to empty, then car died while driving. Jumped the battery, drove 8 miles, car did same thing and died again. This time could not jump battery.
